Walking Worthy

May these pages portray our desire to have "a walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God." Colossians 1:10

Moving On?

This can best be described as a time of ...
WAITING!

  • We are still waiting to hear whether we are going south to PA in September. There is one more reference before our phone interview, etc...and only then can we know whether Steven will be attending the CAMP program at Miracle Mountain Ranch. * sigh * (we wish we could plan a little better, and not feel like we are second-guessing God's will for us! It is hard to "move on" when we don't know where we are going. But sometimes (often) that is how God leads...)
  • Steven has started temporary work with a construction team in town. He has some other options that look a bit more appealing, but nothing else would allow him to start work right away. We will have to save up for another shot at his road test for his Class 1 liscence. He did really well on his last test, but some snow and ice jeopardized his success.

PRAY that God will guide him into the best job possible and that we will be patient in waiting for his next road test. We are not sure whether trucking would be the best thing after the baby is born, and since there are so few weeks left before that happens, we are thinking perhaps, that God wants Steven to work someplace else...and get his liscence for later on...who knows! We need guidance!

  • I am doing well, a bit uncomfortable, but with no complaints! God IS good and His ways are ALWAYS right, even when things look a bit gloomy. We have some big expenses to handle this month with the horses...and financial situations sometimes loom over everything else. All we can do is the best we can, and trust God to care for us!
That's the latest!
(I hear that Punxsutawny Phil saw his shadow in February, which accounts for our longer winter...who knows. I think that they just guess anyway on those things!)

"Spring" Has Come

Up here in Alberta, Canada things are a bit reversed.
In January and February we had lovely sunny spring weather...and now it is snowing and blizzarding like crazy. We hope it will go away by May! :0)

So, the latest...
  • Our family is a happy clan, Buttons bringing joy each day and baby moving around and quite healthy. I (Patti) go to the doctor every two weeks and everything has been fine! We finished our Bradley courses and are getting ready for labor in 12 weeks or so. (I am starting my 29th week...a little hippo looking...and wearing those things loaned me...thanks to all who have helped!)
  • I volunteer at the church watching pre-schoolers once a week and walk daily with a friend at a nearby church. I am trying to keep busy.
  • The horses are keeping well, which is a blessing! This weekend, on my birthday, I am hoping to spend time with some college friends out at the acreage. I really, really, really miss riding and am dissapointed that I missed so much good riding weather. I will have to wait for a few months after having the baby to ride again! (gloop)

Please Pray that baby remains safe, that God will continue to provide for our needs and prepare us for parenthood! Also, I am starting to get uncomfortable! Pray that I can get good sleep and exercise lots!

  • Steven is still working at Stampede Steel, making the most of what God has given. We continue our relationships with his co-workers.
  • He is gearing up for his second Class 1 Road test on MARCH 20th. He is waiting for some repairs on the truck to be done, so he can pass and also studying up his pre-trip inspection. There is so much to remember!
  • He'd like to get another job, but we are still waiting to hear back from the College in the States to which he applied back in November. It is hard to make a job change when you don't know how much longer you may be in the country.

Please Pray that he will have the perseverance he needs to make it through each day in his workplace. He is also listening to where God is leading him regarding his work situation. Pray that we hear from Miracle Mountain Ranch soon, so he can work toward the summer with some certainty!

Buttons has her head on my shoulder purring contentedly...I should get to some more emails. You have a good day!

Bye now!
