May these pages portray our desire to have "a walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God." Colossians 1:10

Sunflowers, Crabs and Laundry

Sunflowers
Our wedding day dawned bright and we basked in the love of our family and friends. Sharing our wedding vows with others was such a joy! I carried a boquet of sunflowers and other wildflowers that were stunning. (thanks Jenna!) We praise God for His goodness and provision through so many people who helped out!

Crab
We took off for our two-week honeymoon that was full of smiles, laughter, challenges, adventure and a live crab. We bought it when we were still on Vancouver island. The week before we had spent scooting around Victoria on a moped and enjoying some fun meals. This day, I decided I wanted to try crab. The fastest and cheapest way to enjoy crab is to buy and cook it live. So we did, and I'll never forget it!

Laundry
We arrived safely back from our honeymoon and started into the practical things, like moving Steven's stuff to the apartment. As a wife, I'm joyfully facing the reality of daily lunches, laundry and the household stuff that comes with living with the man who loves you. It really has been fun! I am also keeping up my work with Wycliffe Bible Translators' Cafe Wycliffe ministry. We have a big event planned for next weekend that we are pulling together!

We praise God for..

  • generous landlords
  • a garden we are free to take from!
  • caring parents
  • God's provision for us in time of need
  • good friends!

We are praying about...

  • Steven's health in work
  • my stamina in volunteering with Wycliffe
  • cultivating Godly habits
  • being good stewards
  • God's direction for us as a couple for this year

Thanks for all who keep in touch as we launch into this new time of life!

All for Jesus,
Patti and Steven
