Walking Worthy

May these pages portray our desire to have "a walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God." Colossians 1:10

Tractor in the Pasture

There we were, careening through the pasture after nightfall,
cleaning up the horses' feed area and squealing in laughter at each other,
ear muffs on, dust flying...

Needless to say, I enjoyed my days in Canada immensely.
This time, I stayed a week and a half, spending time with Steven and his family and my friends from school.

Thank you -- to those who were praying for Steven and I in our travels! We drove up to Canada on April 17th, safely and with much joy.

A Divine Opportunity? -- On April 22md, Friday, we drove to Sundre, Alberta, where Steven interviewed for a job with Camp Evergreen. We both got to see the camp and learned more about what it would be like for us as a couple if Steven took on the full-time wranger position for this thriving camp. see
www.camp-evergreen.com
Pray for us -- as Steven considers this long-term job option as head wrangler.

Some Changing Plans....
As you know, I had committed to stay with GoodSeed until August 9th...exactly one year after my internship started. Right now, I have been encouraged to take the time I need to prepare for the wedding and settle in up north, rather than working until the last week before the wedding. I'm not sure what to do...I have yet to see where God is leading fully in this, so plans are still tentative.

Currently, I am investigating job options in Three Hills right now, looking at moving up to Canada. I have submitted some resumes in the town of Three Hills, but am awaiting more information from potential employers, Canadian immigration, work permits, etc.

Please Pray

  • for Steven's job opportunity and for our first year after August!
  • for me to know God's timing and will in everything! (job? moving?)
  • that I will overcome the cold I am fighting
  • that I will have the time to finish the sewing I have to do before the wedding! Plans are coming along, invitations are done...but awaiting time to be addressed and sent!

Resting in Him,

Patti

Steven's Visit to Idaho!

This is a picture of Steven and I after our hike on April 2nd. We went downtown afterwards and had a great Italian lunch and then went for a walk in my neighborhood! So many blessings to report! Posted by Hello

This is a picture of Steven by the lake in Coeur d'Alene after a hike we took on April 2nd. It turned out to be a sunny day that day! I"m so glad he is visiting! Posted by Hello

Here are the horses. Sage is in the back with the white blaze. Dominique in in the front, with Blackie eating to the right and Danica behind Dominque. We got to spend some time training during my last visit. Posted by Hello

This gives you an idea of what it was like to join Steven at the poultry farms on March 14th. It gets pretty dusty with all those chickens (4000 in a barn). It was a lot of fun just to be together though! Posted by Hello

Showers and Flowers!

Yes,
it has been
dripping with Spring
in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho!
Rain comes down
and flowers come up!
But this is April now! What happened to March? Let me share with you...

March 13-20 found me in the towns of Olds and Three Hills which didn't have such welcoming weather! (It was snowing most of the days) I drove up on Sunday the 13th with co-workers and surprised Steven in Olds! His parents had collaborated with me to do so. I spent the next two days with Steven, helping him at work and also taking his day off to do some marriage counseling with our pastor.
  • PRAISE God that He is continuing to mesh Steven and I closer together in our relationship and teach us what it means to be united in Him!

March 20th God SURPRISED ME by answering a heart's desire of mine...to have Steven come and visit me in Idaho! Steven joined me and my co-workers in the drive back to Idaho!

March 24th Steven and I were able to spend a week with my Grandmother in Oregon! She worked on fitting me to my wedding dress pattern and we got some memorable moments together. Celebrating the Life of Christ was sobering and full of joy as well, knowing that God truly is merciful and full of grace toward us!

  • PRAISE God for safe and wonderful travel!
  • PRAISE God for time with family and time bonding as a couple!

Steven and I are planning on driving up to Three Hills again on April 18th or so. We have more counseling planned, training to do with the horses and job opportunities to investigate!

  • PRAY for us as we investigate new jobs for both of us and prepare for building our marriage life together after August!

Thanks for thinking of us!

For His glory, Patti and Steven
