Prayers of Late

"Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD;
keep watch over the door of my lips.
Let not my heart be drawn to what is evil,
to take part in wicked deeds.

Let a righteous man strike me--it is a kindness;
let him rebuke me--it is oil on my head.
I will not refuse it...

But my eyes are fixed on You,
O Sovereign LORD;
in You I take refuge--
do not give me over to death."

Psalm 141:3-5,8

I spread out my hands before you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land.
Answer me quickly, O LORD;
my spirit fails.

Do not hide your face from me...
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in You.

Show me the way I should go
(Teach me the way in which I should walk)
for to you I lift my soul...

Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God;
may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

For your name's sake, O LORD, preserve my life...
for I am Your servant.

Psalm 143:7-12
