May these pages portray our desire to have "a walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God." Colossians 1:10

Fall in Coeur d'Alene

Praises and Prayers
* I moved into a basement suite on September 15th! My landlords are wonderful people who attend the Coeur d'Alene Bible Church where us Goodseeders attend! I've put up seasonal decorations already and furnished it up over the past three weeks. And I love my area, deer every morning and evening wander around, lovely place to go jogging.
<> But do pray....my Roomate is returning to Idaho Sept. 28th from Canada with the GoodSeed team up there. Pray that we will adjust to life together, work out details of monthly groceries, transportation, etc.

* I got to see Steven Saturday, Sept. 25th! God protected us both as we drove to meet each other in Radium, British Columbia for the day.
<> But do pray... for God's continued guidance and wisdom in my dating relationship with Steven. And that we will both focus on the being sustained by the Word in our respective work environments. Pray that I will come to grasp an understanding of God's grace, accepting His love and learning to love Him in return. I am learning so much about that.

* I met with my insurance agent to set up health insurance and we ended up talking for an hour about what God is doing in both of our lives! Friendship begun! I offered to give her copies of the book, The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus to read with her boyfriend.
God has really been confirming to me that I am exactly where I belong! Even though my heart does have other desires that beckon it, I am certain that this is the place I need to be for such a time as this. I look forward to what God has in store for me during this time.

* God has been providing all my needs! Giving me good deals on things and helping me budget. So, YEAY, God is answering prayers...<> but keep praying for me as I work out my financial expenses each month and decide how to best use what God has given me.

* I've been teaching through the book, The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus, with a High School girl who comes to the church (across from the high school) to study with me for her first period class. (It is a program that the church has started to introduce curious students to the Bible using GoodSeed materials and staff!) So far, she has been very keen and a very good student! It is good for me too, to practice teaching through the book!
<> So Pray...that the word of God will be sown and begin growing as a result of my time with this girl! Pray that she will be able to hear God's voice through the scripture and text heard and read. Pray that I will be a focused teacher and keep the study on track. God has already been challenging me through its content, something new everytime I read it!

Blessings!

Waukesha Wisconsin Reflections

What I learned from travelling with my co-workers...
1. GoodSeed is a ministry, not a company. It exists to CREATE tools for a CLEAR gospel.
2. GoodSeed invests in its interns, training them through "on the run" discipleship.
3. We must all share vision and make sure that our knowledge is transferrable.
4. Travelling is tedious. Requires Grace.

Other Details...

* We stopped along the way to visit various landmarks...Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands, Custard's Last Stand, the Badlands, Wall Drug, Devil's Tower...
* We enjoyed various treats, such as "frozen custard" and "souix city sarsparilla," because, as Russ says, "we take our food very seriously."
* New Tribes Bible Institute (in Waukesha) is RIGHT ON for beginning the Freshmen year with the TERM seminar! The students really appreciate having a good foundation to build their theology on!
* Waukesha Wisconsin has many old church buildings that are intriguing.
* It is humid out east.
* I got to drive the suburban. (Thank God for sunglasses and trail mix)
* We played "behahnd-the-waht-lahn" volleyball. (say with Texan accent)
* Prairie Dogs DO exist. I saw them. Lots of them. (they have little tails)

All in All...
I believe God has placed me here as an intern with GoodSeed for many reasons:
· to challenge my understanding of “the gospel” and how it affects my life.
· to renew my passion for sharing the transforming news of Christ.
· to refine my character and purify me, making me a better tool for His use.
· to make me exercise my spiritual and administrative gifts! (right now I am primarily administrative support and enjoying it!)
· To teach me to rely on Him to provide all my needs; emotionally, spiritually, physically and financially. What an amazing God we serve.

Praises
· Health and safety in travel!! (so MUCH!)
· Experiencing GRACE, in dating, in work!
· Beautiful, beautiful country here in Idaho!

* I'm moving into my basement suite tomorrow!

Prayer Requests
· In June I started dating my friend Steve (in Alberta). Please pray for wisdom and God’s guidance as we communicate long distance.
· God’s REFINING process. It is painful and requires much effort and focus.

Thanks!
